Some News

Alright, so I’m feeling a bit better – Thanks to all who asked, commented or e-mailed. I haven’t had such a sore throat in a long time. But I think I’m on the mend. It was weird…no other symptoms except a wicked sore throat.

AND…..YES!!!! It was my birthday yesterday. I’m now officially 33 years old. I’m easy 10 years older than Xandra’s teacher this year….and THAT makes me feel like a geezer. Okay, maybe not 10, but he’s a guy and he looks younger than he actually is – which is a good thing because he looks really young…..really REALLY young. But he seems like a really nice guy so it’s all good – I guess, eh?

So, thanks for all the Facebook messages, and the e-mails and the phone calls and texts, and well – I felt totally loved and spolied.

Jon took me out for breafast in the morning (I love going out for breakfast – It’s my favorite!) and then two of my girlfriends took me out for all you can eat Sushi for lunch (that’s my next favorite) and then my brother was going to take me (and Jon) out for dinner, but at that point I was “yucking out in my pants” ……ha ha ha ha – that was something I said a very long time ago, and I can’t believe that it just popped into my head right then. Actually, I was feeling very full, but still excited about going out for dinner – Can you imagine a whole day without me having to prepare ONE SINGLE MEAL…yah, me either, so this was AWESOME.

BUT….and there’s always a but, eh? But, we remembered that it was “Meet the Teacher Night” at both the Middle and the Elementary School, and so we rescheduled for early next week…..was it Monday or Tuesday? I don’t remember? Hmmmmm Chris????? Help me out?

And, in the middle of all this, my house is an absolute disaster and looks and feels like a bomb exploded and a camel threw up. Fortunately, my natural deodorant is still working and so it doens’t stink and above all else…..THAT IS AWESOME. I cannot tell you how amazing it is to go to out, and to sweat, and to stay in those same clothes all day, and then to take them off at the end of the day and to do a pit sniff and other than the fact that you “know” you sweated in them – THERE IS NO STENCH! So much so that if you wanted to be gross and disgusting – which I don’t – you could totally get away wth wearing them again the next day…..which I wouldn’t, but I could….I totally could.

This is so unbelieveble to me. I am starting to grasp the fact that I am not a stinky hippie any longer. YAAAAAAHHHH!

Okay, so back to the bomb exploding, camel vomiting disaster of a house…….

A while back my favorite earrings broke.

It was hell!

My sister made these earrings for me back when she worked in a Rock and Gem Store in North Vancouver. They went with just about every piece of clothing that I owned and they were the perfect mix of not too dressy, but not too casual. They were perfect! PERFECT, I tell you!

Well, I wore them right out! One of them broke on me after YEARS of almost daily wear.

I was devestated, and so after an appropriate mourning period, I decided to move on and attempt to recreate a new pair that was as close to the originals as possible.

I headed to Michaels, and found some stuff and whipped up a new pair in no time at all.

While I was there, I got sucked into the black hole of the beading and jewelry section, and I will never again be able to climb my way out of there again. THE END!

Actually, I was overcome with ideas and possibilities, and well….in any spare time – like nap time or after bed time in the evenings – I started making some jewelry.

A friend of mine came over and saw some of the stuff and well….she picked up a few pieces, and then I had the opportunity to go and hang out for an evening with a bunch of ladies, and I sold a bunch more pieces…..and so….with a huge amount of panic little bit of stress…..I am now going to be selling some jewelery on-line.

I’ve not uploaded all the pieces into the store, and we still have bugs and glitches that we are working out, but if you’re interested – go and take a look and maybe…just maybe, there will be something that you like.

Keep checking back regularly as I still have pieces to add, and I’m making new pieces in my spare time…HA HA HA HA HA! Spare time, what is that?

Also, if you see something that you like, but you are wondering about different colors – let me know and we’ll try to work something out.

If you come across any glitches or *gasp* spelling mistakes (I would never make any of those) and you have the time….let me know so that I can make everything look as good as possible.

Hey, something in my life has to be neat and tidy and it sure ain’t my house, right now.

I’ll be adding some more product to the store today and then once again, we are off to Vancouver this weekend AND….AND…..I’m getting my hair done on Saturday! YAH! So I’ll post pictures, as soon as I can.

And hopefully, things will be getting back to normal and my regularly scheduled blatherings will resume and life will be grand, eh?

Am I nuts to think of hope for that?

I Could Hardly Wait

I was so excited that today was the first day of school, and now that it’s finally here……I really, really, REALLY can’t wait for tomorrow.

See, today is just a teaser. I had kids that couldn’t sleep last night, they were so excited that they were going to go to school tomorrow, and when I woke up to feed the baby at 4am – I found a middle sized child alseep in the floor in the hallway. Lovely, eh?

No, it wasn’t sleep walking or sleeping or whatever you want to call it. She had a whole bed of blankets and pillows all laid out. Whatever she did obviously took some planning and effort on her part, and she must have done it AFTER we went to bed around 10:30pm or so…little goof ball!

I am SO excited that it’s fall. This always seems like the beginning of a year. It’s like I get two new years…one in the fall, and the normal one in January. Do you feel like that, too?

Anyway, I was talking about today, and how I was so excited, but really it’s just a joke, because the kids are all home before lunch time. SERIOUSLY! Who planned this? Not a parent, obviously! Mind you, I don’t deal with separation anxiety and so I have no crying children wanting to be with me and no crying parents wanting to be with the children.

So, I am thrilled with my quiet moments this morning, and then will be even MORE thrilled with my quiet day tomorrow.

I think Siah is thrilled for the quiet too. It’s been a bit of a “maulled” summer. Siah has been a GIANT DOLL, and while that can be fun for the older kids….yah…not so much for the baby or the mom.

Well, I’m off to make the most of my “quiet time” They’ll be ready for pick up, WAY TOO SOON!

So, About that vacation…

We had the most wonderful week away with the most amazing friends.

We laughed, and chatted, and fished, and swam, and eat and didn’t sleep very much (that was us, not them – and not for all the good reasons *nudge, nudge, wink, wink* – nope, Siah decided to wake up once an hour every hour, and we were in a cabin with Jeremy, and I just wanted him to sleep, so I nursed him in bed with us, and well….that was the closest to just wanting to let him cry it out that I’ve got in a long time. I know that I could do that, but really, I’m not just ready yet, mmmkay….moving on!)

So, like I was saying, there was lots of fishing….

Fishin' Boy

And lots of Rope Swinging….

Working the Rope Swing

And we did a little Canoeing….

Mommy's helper

Lots of happy smiling children….

Emily & Xani

Snuggling….

Snugglin' with Lala

A little bit of…..well, I don’t know what to call this, but ihe’s just so cute!

Yah!

I have lots of pictures up and you can just click here to see them all.

Our time away was wonderful on so many levels, but it really made me aware of the need for “community”.

That is the “something really cool that I want to share”. It’s not earth shattering, but it’s just really been somthing that I’ve been thinking about and mulling over and it’s been stirring inside of me for a while and well…..I’m still trying to work it all out.

But…….I have some little monkeys that are pulling on my pants legs, which makes me think that I’ve been on my computer long enough, so I’ll be back to share my “musings” a bit later.

Letting it go….letting it ALLLLLLLLLLLL go!

So, ummmmm….thanks for letting me vent yesterday. Not like you really had a choice, because I kinda did it without asking, but for any and all who did read, and just nodded your heads and carried on…..yah….that’s about what I needed.

I needed to get it out there and then I spent the rest of the day processing and today – I am in a much better frame of mind.

I have some clarity about some things….things of which I will speak of shortly or soon or in the not too distant future, but for now….it is enough to say that I am back in the state of “being content where I am at.”

In other, completely unrelated news…Jon is giving Siah a bath because he asked for one. This kid (read that to say baby, not kid) loves the water, and I had just sat down to try and blather on and on here, and he headed straight for the bathroom, which usually means a little toilet fishing, and with certain bigger little boys who sometimes forget to flush…..not that I’m mentioning names or anything…..that can be a scary, scary thing.

So, I cut him off at the path, and he pointed towards the bath…which had water in it from J popping in for fun this afternoon. I told ‘Siah that if he wanted to have a bath that he’d had to talk to daddy. then I said, “bath” a few times and took him out and closed the door. I had JUST sat back down and he took off, bookin’ it at warp speed – well as fast as 1 foot tall chubby legs will carry you – towards my room and bathroom….this is where he “normally” has a bath….I ran to get him before he went toilet fishing in my bathroom, and when I picked him up he looked at me and said, “ba..”

So I asked him “what to do want?” and he said it again….”ba..”

So I took him out to Jon and told him to tell Daddy what he wanted and he looked right at Jon and smiled HUGE and said it again.

It’s so cute to see him start to say little words. He understands more than he is speaking, but the little words are so cute.

In less cute news, Jeremy tried to ummmmmm….use the toilet from a standing position and well…it ended badly and I had a bunch of smeary cleaning to do……Needless to say, he got quite the talking about the evils of sky dumping and why it would cost him HUGE if he ever did it again.

Geli choked down a whole plate of “meatless” tacos that she didn’t really like….which is AMAZING because to get her to try ANYTHING new is a serious challenge let alone eat something that she doesn’t like with out too much complaining….that is the key here…..without TOO MUCH COMPLAINING. There was some complaining, but not enough that it made our ears bleed.

Xani is reading everything in site, and is making it quite difficult to keep her in books. She just finished “Hinds Feet On High PLaces” and is going to be starting “Pilgrims Progress in the next couple of days…..She has a serious reading addiction, although I’m not really upset…..read, baby, read.

Jon has got so much work that he is trying to not stress out, and well…..sometimes that’s hard. Who knew that too much work could be almost as stressful as too little….who knew???!?!?!?

I’m…..well…..I’m trying to get us all ready and organized for a vacation that coming up before too long….ya know…with menu’s and bags and all the “gear” that is needed for vacationing with a baby and 3 other kids…..and I’m trying to ONLY BRING what it necessary, and not TOO much.

Alright…that’s it for now…

Snap Happy!

It was the perfect picture taking day on Saturday morning. The sky was grey and bright with high cloud cover and it was perfect.

We tried to get ready in a hurry, but for whatever reason….all 8 thousand of them…we didn’t leave the house until after 1pm.

And by that time it was sunny. Was I ever upset to see the sun. Can you believe that I even typed that down let alone thought it? I know, it’s horrifying after all the bad weather that we’ve had, and we are exactly 5 days away from summer…not cool…not cool at all.

So, we made it to City Hall and everyone piled out of the van and as I scouted out the best location and flicked my camera on…..I realized that I had left the battery…………in the charger…………at home!

So, we had to pile everyoneback into the van and drive back home, but fortunately, City Hall is only about 5 minutes or less away from our house – so not the end of the world….just slighty frustrating.

We made it back to City Hall and once again everyone piled out of the van and took off across the grass.

We got the kids and Daddy “Happy Father’s Day” special shot as evidenced below….

The kids were pretty good, well except Jeremy decided that today wasnot a day for just normal smiling, and so that made things a bit difficult as evidenced below…..

Apparently, I’m liking the phrase “as evidenced below” today…it’s a good one. Try it out, let the words rooooollllllll off your tongue. I’ll try to see if I can fit it in a few more times in this post…..special like, just for you.

If you click on the first picture, it’ll take you to the pics that I didn’t delete because I considered them okay….I could probably mess with them in photoshop for some of them, but you’ll get the general idea. I was LOVE the pictures of Geli. She’s been known to take some REALLY bad photos in her day, but on Saturday – that prize went to Jeremy.

If you click on the picture of him, it’ll take to you the other pics that I didn’t delete, but only because they were so funny. There were almost no good pictures of him, but oh so many really good, bad pictures.

Which ones are your favorite?

UGH!!!!!!

We had a poker night last night.  This is our 4th month that we’ve had a poker night….First Friday or Satrday of the month..two games…$5 per game…runner up gets their money back, and the winner gets the rest….It’s a BLAST!

So, everyone showed up arund 7ish and we hung out and finally got the first game going around 8pm….we wrapped up the 2nd game and chatted a bit more and just as everyone was getting ready to leave around midnight….SIAH WAKES UP.

….and starts to scream…..and scream…..and scream……and scream….

Long story short…he screamed for over an hour and then we finally gave up and I nursed him and he fell asleep.

BUT….that meant that we didn’t get to sleep until after 1am…..and then the little stinker was awake and HAPPY!?!!?!??! at 6am….UNREAL!

Now, I must say that I think the green smoothies must be doing something, because I don’t ever remember crawing outta bed at 6:30am on a Saturday morning…or heck, ANY morning EVER at 6:30am and being fairly awake and fairly cheerful and not feeling like death has enveloped me and is trying to drag me back into the pit of hell.

But, the afternoon sleepies have hit, and I’d love nothing more than to just crawl back into my nice feather bed and go to sleep…..

I might need to go and make another “Shrek Shake” or “Swamp Shake” as J is now calling them.

We actually met up with my parents for breakfast this morning.  It’s been a while since we’ve seen them, and well, I don’t think that a “Ricky’s” breakfast really counts as “quality time”, but it’s better than nothing.   After breakfast, we had to do a bit of running around and we dragged Chris along with us (but not the same way that my mom dragged the lawnmower around with her back in the day – anyone remeber that story?)…..and it was good.  We hung out…..checked out some music videos and blathered on about unimportant stuff…all in all a good day.

Man, gotta go and get me a “pick me up”…..I’m fading here.

Peace Out!

Sunday Afternoon Family Painting

We had a lovely afternoon yesterday, painting as a family……what?  Don’t you do stuff like that?

Actually, this was a first for us too.

We’ve been so insanely busy and just needed to have a weekend away from everything.  We feel like we’ve been going, going, going, going for a looooooong time now and every once in a while you just need to step back and out of your regularly scheduled programing and take a vacation, and what better way to do one than to do it for free in your own house.

So we did that.

We got up yesterday morning and stayed in our jammies and then we made a HUGE delicious breakfast with bacon and eggs and hashbrowns and toast..mmmmm.  The kids set up our dinning room table with our fancy dishes and the special tea cups and we had a very nice breakfast.

Then we eventually got cleaned up and the kids played for a bit and then we decided to paint as a family.

‘Siah helped out by keeping track of the paint bottles….I’ve actually been wanting some “art” for my walls for a long time and have been after Jon to get his butt in gear and paint me something.  He’s very artistic and creative and he keeps saying that he’ll do something and then he never does.

So, we pulled out some canvases yesterday and some acrylic paint and sat down around the big table and had at it.

I picked 4 shades of blue and then told the kids that the theme was birds, and let them get busy creating.

They had SOOOOO much fun.  This is definately something that we’ll do again.  They already asked what the next color’s and theme were and had some suggestions, so it looks like I might have some art before this is all done.

It also gave us a chance to talk about how each of us can create something special, and that Xani’s ideas are not better or worse than Jeremy’s ideas, but that their art is special and unique to each of them.  Of course, Jeremy wasn’t buying that, and just wanted to know if we liked his picture “MUCH better than Xani’s or Geli’s“.

Everyone actually stuck with the theme except me.  I started painting, and then i couldn’t figure out how to work a bird into the picture and so I just left it.  Oh well!  Maybe next time I’ll stick with the theme!

Wacky Wednesday

So, it’s late(r) on Friday night and Spring Break is almost over.

I think that I’m ready to send my little darlings back to school.  My house is a DISASTER and Josiah needs some time without the kids IN. HIS. FACE…….and I need to have an hour where the kids are not hoovering me out of $60 in fruit and veggies a week.  Okay, it’s not that bad, but close, and so while I love to have the kids around – I’ll be thrilled to have some quiet time.

So, anyway…Wednesday morning we got up and had a leisurly morning and then headed into Walnut Grove for a visit with my Chiropracter.  My hips have been out and Siah needed an adjustment because he….he….fell out of his crib.  I don’t know how it happened, and yes, we should have had the railing up, but ‘Siah’s only been army crawling for a little while and can’t sit up on his own and hasn’t shown any interest in pulling himself up on anything and so I didn’t think it was even possible for him to fall or crawl out of his crib, but last Friday morning we woke up to a rather large BANG followed by an extremely large CRY and I ran in and pick him up off the floor.  I couldn’t (until today) figure out how  he could have possibly pulled himself up and managed to heavve his rather large body over the railing.  He seemedto be okay and I squished and pulled and prodded until I was sure that there was nothing broken and he quickly stopped crying and seemed to be his happy self.  He did have one funny scratch on his head, but I wasn’t sure if he had been gouging at the exczema on his head or if he had somehow hit his head when he fell.  It did look like his head was lumpy off to one side, but maybe I was seeing things…..ya know how you’re just not sure when you’re stressed out?

So, we get to my Chiropracter…I’ve mentioned him before  Dr. Alan Irving.   He’s AMAZING!  He fixed ‘Siah right up.

Dr. Irving's Smooshology
Later in the day I was telling my brother, Chris, about our visit and told him about how the Dr. manipulated ‘Siah skull and how you could definately see how it was out before and how now it was a nice round melon… and Chris says, “He just shoved the skull back in place?“  So I explained how the bones in the baby’s head are not set in place and again Chris says, “So,….he just smooshed it back in place?“  And I started to explain how Dr Irving went to school to learn how to “smoosh” a baby’s head back in place, and Chris (very sarcastically says) says, “Yah, he took Smooshology!”Yah, that’s right Chris….he took smooshology…for sure…

After our appt, we hit the Starbucks and then took the kids to the park.  We got some good pictures and the weather totally co-operated so that was really nice.  Click on the picture to see the pics that we took at the park.

After these pictures the camera died and we had to run home to get the charger but the battery takes a while to recharge and so we got no pictures of us wandering around Fort Langley.  We let the kids just wander in and out of all of the cute and eclectic little shops and see and exploreand it was a lot of fun. After we were done at Fort Langley we headed over to my parents house for dinner, and after dinner was done – we spent some really special quality family time……

….around the laptop, ’cause nothing says family like dorking out around the computer. It was another great Wednesday, and the kids are already asking to go back to the Fort again.

We’re still Springing along.

Ha Ha Ha Ha – Springing along…I’m such a “gork” (Kennedy word for Geek and Dork all mixed together) sometimes.  Forgive me….just blame it on sleep depravation….I’m gonna go on and on and on about the sleep depravation again so I know you’ll want to keep reading won’t you..

NOT!  Just joking!  Hey, did I lose some of you?  Did you think I was serious?  I guess I’ve complained about it so much and it’s kind of too fresh to be joked about, hey????….sorry about that.

Nope, not gonna talk about it at all.

Instead……don’t you wish you had a little boy that was a cute as this little guy is……..couldn’t you just “eat him up”?

He is almost ALWAYS this happy.  It’s very rare that he’s not smiling and even rarer that he’s crying.  I just LOVE him so much.Topic Change……

I also dyed my hair using a natural hair dye.  It’s called Herbatint and it’s amazing.  It is more expensive than just buying a color from the store.  It was just under $30 for the box, but I was pleasantly amazed at how it didn’t smell like I was frying my hair or burning brain cells from the fumes.  We’ve been trying to rid our house of the Detergant SLS because it’s been linked to eczema and Josiah does typically have a flare up when he comes in contact with it…..and it’s in EVERYTHING, and it a known irritant……if that’s the case, then why put it in all the freakin’ baby soaps……it’s ridiculous.  Anyway, this dye doesn’t have SLS and it works so far.

Anyway – I went Black…it seems that if I go really dark, that by the time the dye lightens and wears off slightly that it’s pretty close to my natural color…..which is a nasty sorta mousy brown color……enough about that…..here’s me.  Excuse the frizzies…I’d do a re-take, but I just don’t care that much – you can see the color and realize that I don’t have perfect hair, and that I really dont’ care……get a little chuckle outta the “halo”….yah, that’s it…..it’s my halo…I’m an angel…ha ha ha!

In other news….my kids are playing SOOOOOO Nicely most of the time and here’s a shot to prove it…..I’m not gonna tell you how we staged this shot just so you’d think that we were such a nice family who calmly and quietly plays games together….’cause we didn’t and even if we did….I wouldn’t tell you about it….I’d just go on about my business and be all cool about it….now that I’ve blathered on and on – you have no idea whether I’m telling the truth or not, so just enjoy this pic of the 3 older darlings playing nicely together….as this is a rare treat.

Nothing like a sweet game of pick-up sticks.

Now, for some really amazing news…..you should see Josiah crawling…okay…it’s a bit weird, and none of my other kids did this…….He Army Crawls.  It’s darling, but strange…just get up on your hands and knees already, son!

Isn’t he just DARLING?  See, flat on his stomach…..weird.And here he is coming to get you….

Regardless of how strange his little crawl is…..HE IS FREAKIN’ FAST.And so now…….

This is the view coming up our stairs.  Yup.  We are now officially gated, and it makes life WAY easier ’cause I can just put him down and let him go….mind you with 3 older kids…there is a whole lotta yelling and screaming gently reminding to “please remember to shut the gate EVERY SINGLE FREAKIN’ time you come in or out” ’cause I’m nice like that. I’m also into the “vaccumming the carpets 40 times a day” stage because apparently my older children are SLOBS and the baby is “exploring” everying by putting every little piece of anything and everything into his mouth.  It’s so much fun.

Today is Day 3 of Spring Break but it’s also Wacky Wednesday.  Named because……beacause……well, because both words start with a W…..We decided that it’s hard for Jon to be working from home and for the kids to not understand how come he’s around but not available….sooooooo…….he’s working Mon and Tues and Thur and Fri from 7am to 5pm and we are tkaing Weds off.  It’s nice that we can do this.  One of the perks of working for your self at home, but it’s also a Loooooooog day when you’re working for 10 hours straight.  So far so good and we’re headed off to see a movie with the kids today.

I think we’re going to see “Horton hears a Who”.  It should be fun, and then we’re going to have dinner with my parents. So, a nice day that’s not too crazy busy, but fun none the less…..  How’s your Spring Break coming along?  if you have one?

Finding it Difficult in so many ways and on so many levels, but not wanting to talk about it…..so much

edited to add…..get a coffee….it’s a long one……

I’ve said that I’d talk about what we found out at the Naturopath in regards to both Jeremy and Josiah, and yet I’ve still not talked about it.

I find that talking about our struggles with Jeremy is so difficult that I think that in some small or large part of my brain I figure that if I don’t talk about it then it’s not really there.  Denial is a powerful, POWERFUL weapon (of self-destruction).

Josiah is doing better, I think.

Okay, starting all of this off….I’m seeing my sister’s naturopath because my naturopath had to take some time off for a family emergency.  The two Drs are practice partners and so it’s not a big deal to see one or the other as it’s in the same place and they have very similar and complimentary practise styles.

So, we met for a HUGE appointment because all four kids needed a follow up appt for different reasons.  The girls needed a wrap up appointment because I took them through the “process” of food intolerance testing and such just so that they would be healthy.  I do think that they have some struggles, but that they’re doing well.  I’ll talk more aout that in a moment.  They are basically healthy kids and we are just on what we’d call “maintenance” – no wheat, dairy, sugar or yeast on a regular basis, but I don’t stress if they go to a birtday party or somewhere else where they might cheat a little……if they “can” eat healthy then make good choices, but for a special occasion (as long as those “occasions” don’t happen every day or even a couple of times a week) it doesn’t matter.

Josiah is doing much better.  I’m still avoiding dairy like it’s the plague.  Soy seems to really bother him, and so do tomatoes.  I had chili the night that we went to the naturopath and he barfed ALL EVENING, and then ended up with a flare up of eczema.  So, I’m avoiding Dairy, Soy, Tomatoes, Wheat and Yeast.

I thought the Dairy was brutal, but soy is even worse…..pretty much anything that doesn’t have dairy in it – has soy in it…..so I’m eating lettuce as it seems pretty safe.  Nice, eh?  It’s not that bad, but to say my diet is limiting is an understatement.

I am willing to do anything, though, to be able to nurse.  I won’t force him to nurse when he’s ready, but I wanted to have this “time” with my baby for a long time and I’m happy to be able to do it even if it means working around things to make it work for Josiah.

I am struggling with all the food intolerances and the eczema and gastro-intestinal issues that we’ve dealt with for the past 6 months.  I basically thought that parents “made up” their kids food intolerances and thought that they were all a bunch of over exaggerators and that they were blowing things WAY OUTTA proportion.  Now, I am one of them and being on this end of it SUCKS!  I’m hoping that it’s all just intolerances and that ‘Siah will outgrow everything as he gets older and bigger and stronger.

He’s on some supplements to heal his intestinal tract and I think it’s working.  His poos are AMAZING….like liquid gold.  I almost don’t feel like I have to be inspecting EVERY. SINGLE. POOP. to be looking for blood.  It was hell to be waiting with a twisted gut for your kid to poo and hoping that this time you wouldn’t see blood, and then feeling like you’d been punched in the gut when you did see blood and hoping that this would be the last time and feeling helpless and not knowing what to do or what was causing it.

There is also some material out there that says that Dairy is a big culprit for causing eczema and other material that says that eczema is a surface level reaction to intestinal issues and tha tif you get your guts healed up then the eczema will clear up.  I’ve read about eczema coming on after you’ve had a vaccination and also about detergent allergy and how there is detergant in EVERYTHING now a days and that if you can get your home to be a detergant free zone that your kids will be able to get healthy and then when they come in contact with detergant outsome the home, they will better be able to deal with it.  Someone else told me that if you wash the eczema with saline that it will get better.  i’m willing to try just about everything, but the thing that bothered me the most was my family doctor just telling me to get some hydocortisone and use it….I’d have to use it every day and I have an issue with just treating the symptom and not the root or underlying cause.

The eczema is clearing up since we’ve been on the supplements for 2 weeks now.  I have a follow up appt and i want to know if this is something that can be healed forever or if we’re just in a preventative stage forever.

He still scratches and has little cuts and nicks in his head ALL OVER THE PLACE.  It looks awful, but it’s not rashed up.  i’m not sure if it is actually itchy or if it’s a habit.  I know that he will start scratching horribly when he is tired.  So, habit or itch – I do not know.  Bottom line is….

I think that Josish is doing WAAAAAAY better than he ever has, and this is a good thing.

I’m not going to talk aout Jeremy today.  I think that this has gone on long enough, and I think that I want a little more time to think about how I want to say what I’m feeling and thinking about the most wonderful little boy ever.

Jeremy is an amazing child and I only wish that others could see past some of the outward stuff and really grab a hold of the beauty that’s inside of this precious, gentle, creative, compassionate little man.
