This baby is so brave and willing to try new things. He's the baby of the family and desperately doesn't want to be left behind. At the same time, he struggles with anxiety and transitions. It's a funny mix. At Halloween, the whole "clown" situation messed him up and then he watched a stupid YouTube video about some doll. Ever since, he's struggled with sleep. Tonight we found him camped in our doorway. The other day, I was late to pick him up from school because I couldn't find parking because of the snow. He told me that he thought I was dead in an accident because of the snow. My heart breaks because I know what it's like to live with anxiety. It's also hard to know how much to encourage your child to walk through and when it's the right time to try meds. I'm thankful to be in a stable place, anxiety-wise. But it's SO hard to see your child struggling and to not know what the best thing to do is.
