We took this sweet boy out for respite tonight, cause sometimes you just need a break. I’ve got one sleeve left. You can see the line where I made a mistake on the front panel (I didn’t notice it until I was about 8 lines down and I just couldn’t fathom ripping it out) and I most definitely made Mistakes in the gull lace pattern. It’s a little big but I couldn’t be more thrilled to be almost finished my first adult sweater. I’m okay with for a “first completed attempt” and I’m super excited to see it actually finished and then to start on another one. I have attempted this sweater, probably once a year for the past 4 years. It’s seemed too complicated (it’s a super simple pattern) but my growing skills and confidence have made me determined to “get it”……and would you believe that this is the furthest I’ve ever followed the pattern. At this point it’s just repeating the gull lace pattern until it’s the right length……at some point this month, I should be finished my very first knitted adult sweater.
