This one had a hard day today. The beginning of a new school year brings so many unknowns….new teachers, classrooms, rules, desk placements, expectations….. The unknowns leave him dealing with so much anxiety. And….then there are the teachers and aids who are learning about Siah. Today was messy and difficult. But when I come up to climb into my bed and find him here, it solidifies that I am a place of safety for him. It reminds me that regardless of how tired I am, I choose to advocate on his behalf. #siahchristopher #autism #autismawareness #advocacyeverydamnday
