Today is Day 16 of the most recent trip to the hospital. Angelica has done the first dose of the current phase of treatment and has not shown any side effects. THAT IS AMAZING!!! Even while taking high dose chemo, she is continuing to improve in eating and feeling better. Her feeding tube will likely come out this week and she has not shown any sign of getting mouth sores.
With this phase of chemo she received a large dose of one of the meds through her IV, then waited for a little bit, and then she got what amounts to an antidote and the medication was flushed from her system. This usually takes two to four days and we did it in two…
Which makes today the last day of our stay!!! YAY!!!
We had asked everyone to pray for Angelica, that she would not get side effects, specifically mouth sores and she didn’t. We asked for prayer that we would get back together as a family as soon as possible and by being cleared today, that is exactly what is happening.
Thank you all for your prayers. You are an amazing group of people that are supporting us through this.

I asked for prayer for settled nerves after the earthquake and people have prayed that we would be able to sleep at night. We have reportedly had over 1400 earthquakes (or aftershocks) and I have only felt a few and those that happen at night we have not felt at all, including one last night – a 3.8 shake at 5:00 in the morning.
I have been amazed at how much God is answering prayer both for you, us and everyone.
HE doesn’t promise to make everything a bed of roses but HE does promise to be with us through it and to give us strength and power.
I know that I am learning to trust HIM more and not lean on my own understanding. I know that HE will make each one of us a better follower through this process.

We have an awesome God!!!! So glad to hear that Gel is doing good… through his treatment. Gel now has heaps of Vietnamese praying for her as well. God has a way of uniting the family that we never realized. How cool to have the internet to broadcast prayer requests. Love you all lots

Working to get it all done takes a lot of time and effort. I am thankful we are able to walk along side as so many others are doing. I know that the reason there is no posts lately is because the doing of life right now is taking all your time and energy. But I can say… with God as our helper, We will not be afraid. He will help us. He will hold us up. He will hold your hand and say…. I AM WITH YOU I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU. I WILL DELIVER YOU OUT OF THE HAND OF AL YOUR ENEMIES. You guys are doing so amazing. I know you get dog tired “some times” (I know it seems like all the time) and the things that need to be done seem like mountains that are overwhelming… But I can say I am so proud of you and your family and the way You are looking to Jesus as the source of your strength. He will send help! He will keep you. Right now it is just one step and then another… But He has gone before you and prepared the way. Trust Him for what you need now. Take it one day at a time…. and when tomorrow comes, trust Him for what you need then…. He is faithful who promised….. We continue to stand with you believing for the strength you all need to run this race. xox
