He&#039;s the baby of the family and desperately doesn&#039;t want to be left behind.  At the same time, he struggles with anxiety and transitions.  It&#039;s a funny mix.  At Halloween, the whole &#034;clown&#034; situation messed him up and then he watched a stupid YouTube video about some doll.  Ever since, he&#039;s struggled with sleep.  Tonight we found him camped in our doorway.  The other day, I was late to pick him up from school because I couldn&#039;t find parking because of the snow.  He told me that he thought I was dead in an accident because of the snow.  My heart breaks because I know what it&#039;s like to live with anxiety.  It&#039;s also hard to know how much to encourage your child to walk through and when it&#039;s the right time to try meds.  I&#039;m thankful to be in a stable place, anxiety-wise.  But it&#039;s SO hard to see your child struggling and to not know what the best thing to do is.
